Meet Kristiany.
For me, health coverage isn’t just business. It’s personal.
For years, I’ve built my life as an entrepreneur and artist. Most people know me through music as DJ La Moon.
Working for myself has given me incredible freedom, but it also taught me how different life can be without traditional employee benefits. In 2020, while working for myself and without health insurance, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Suddenly, my life became chemotherapy, radiation, doctor visits, medications, and an experience I never imagined I would face. With the support of my family and community, I made it through.
Today, I am healthy, happy, still creating music, still performing, and still building businesses—but I never forgot what it felt like to face something that serious without health coverage.
Eventually, that experience became VELUNA Benefits Group. Now I help people understand their options and feel less alone in the process, because I know firsthand how quickly life can change.
